Google Business Profile optimisation
A local business is usually found in Google Maps, not on a blog. The Google Business Profile is that listing: name, address, phone, category, photos, and reviews. A half-finished profile is hard to trust and easy to skip.
BLAU is based in Helmond and sets up profiles from there, including for businesses in other cities. We do not promise a fixed spot in the top 3. We set the profile, the facts, and the link to your website so Google can see who you are and where you work.
What someone in Maps wants to see
Someone searching for an installer or an accountant nearby compares a few listings. The one with a clear category, recent photos, opening hours, and a handful of real reviews wins that comparison more often than an empty name.
So we do not start with posts or tricks. First the basics match: the same name, the same address, and the same phone number as on your website and your invoice.
- One primary category that says what you do, plus a few real secondary services
- NAP that matches the website: name, address, phone
- Opening hours, service area, and a route that is correct
- Photos of the work or the premises, not stock photos of another company
- A short description in plain language, without a list of keywords
What we set on the profile
We walk through the profile the way a new customer opens it. Category, services, products, description, questions, and the link to the page where someone can call or send a request.
Then the rhythm: an occasional post about real work, and a way to ask for a review after a job. A profile that sits still for a year slips behind businesses that still reply.
What a profile will not solve
A complete profile is not a guarantee of position one. In a city with many providers, competition, distance, and recent reviews outweigh a clever sentence. We say that up front.
The profile also fails if the site behind it is slow or hides the phone number. Maps sends people onward. The page they land on has to show what you do and how to reach you.
What we have already seen
Laane Inspecties reached #2 on Google Business Profile for energy labels in Dordrecht within a month. That is one market, one period, not a promise for the next business.
SBBA Accountancy in Helmond received seven enquiries in ten days after the new site. The profile and the site point at the same business: bilingual, local, reachable. That is how the link should work.
Questions about your business profile
- Does my business have to be in Helmond?
- No. BLAU works from Helmond. The profile uses your address or service area, not ours.
- Can you guarantee position one?
- No. Rankings depend on competition, reviews, and how far the searcher is from you. We do the setup and report what changes.
- Do I also need a website?
- A profile can exist without a site, but most enquiries land on a page. A slow or unclear site leaks those visitors. We connect the profile to a site that works on a phone.
- Do you write fake reviews?
- No. We help you ask real customers for a review after a job. Bought reviews are a risk for the profile and for your name.
- How fast is the profile in good shape?
- The basics, category, NAP, services, and photos, go in during the first round. Google sometimes shows edits only after a few days. Posts and reviews are a habit after that, not a one-off task.
- What does this cost?
- Local SEO, including the business profile, is €225 per month with a three-month minimum. Together with a website it is €300 per month, with no separate setup fee. Prices exclude VAT.
